What some in the games industry do not understand

With the new Xbone announcement and Microsoft’s bumbling attempts at dealing with the press there has been a lot of discussion about sale of second hand games. And speculation. And ad hominem attacks.

All the ones I read were flawed, because they all shared one assumption. That in 5 years from now there will still be such thing as a game store.

Video games stores will follow the same trajectory of music stores.

There is no future for them.
