Liquor at the front, Poker in the rear
by Rodolfo Rosini
the day started with a major scare of a bomb plot, the cancellation of loads of flights from UK airports during high season and shitty weather. Pretty ace, I say.
In the middle of this I found out that a friend of mine has two relatives featured in Liar’s Poker , which was weird how we came to discuss that in the first place (LP is a GREAT book about investment banking in the ’80s when the author went to work for Solomon Smith Barney)
Don’t know what is about today and the ’80s???
Be seeing you,
